Oats have been around for thousands of years and recorded as far back at 2000 B.C. in Egypt. But it is Scotland that has made this simple breakfast food famous as they celebrate it every year at the World Porridge Making Championship in the village of Carrbridge. Apparently, the Scottish are more than huge fans of this fiber dense cooked oat.
I’m a huge fan of morning smoothies, especially this one. Packed with nature’s goodness like, almond milk and almond butter, bananas, strawberries, and chia seeds, this combination of superfoods creates a perfect way to add a large selection of nutritional foods you wouldn’t usually eat in one meal otherwise.
