Using a hand mixer, add cream cheese to a small bowl and mix until cheese becomes soft and spreadable. Add in garlic, dill and salt, mixing to combine.
Spread 1 heaping tablespoon of cream cheese on each cracker, leaving it fluffy and full.
Position a piece of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese and press down just slightly so the fish sticks to the cheese.
(Optional) sprinkle a few capers, peppercorns and or twig of dill on top of the salmon before adding one more small layer of fish to the top.
