Persian Meatballs in Zesty Tomato Sauce Yum
Serve these zesty meatballs in tomato sauce with a side of rice for the perfect meal the entire family will love any night of the week.

Instructions
  1. In large bowl, mix the meat, salt, pepper and spices together, massaging with hands until the spices are fully incorporated into the meat.
  2. Shape meat into 1-inch meatballs and set aside on plate.
  3. In large saute pan, heat oil on medium-high and saute meatballs on all sides until lightly browned. Do this in batches if the pan is too small for all the meatballs at one time.
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and water to the pan. Add enough water to just cover the meatballs. Lower heat to medium-low, cover pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. When meatballs are done, sprinkle cilantro on top of meat and sauce and gently push it into the sauce using a fork.
  6. Remove pan from heat and serve over cooked rice.
